This project has been on the cards for a long long time and finally Dora The Explorer, finally getting her film…Dora And The Lost City Of Gold. This Summer will be adventure time for Dora and today you can enjoy the film’s First Trailer.
It’s four years ago we learned that the popular long running animated Nickelodeon show was getting a live action feature film. What we have below does look fun, with unearth nostalgia for anyone who watched when they were younger. It will be a slice of nostalgia for them, Paramount Pictures will hope will excite current crop of fans, however trailer teases a different fansbase.
The film will be directed by James Bobin (Alice Through The Walking Glass) with Instant Family‘s Isabela Moner as Dora. She is one of Hollywood’s up and coming young prospects and looking the part and fans will easily relate to her as Dora even if she is slightly older. She does have her Monkey friend Boots by her side!
Dora loves to explore and early on and she is sent on an adventure to find her kidnapped parents (Eva Longoria, Michael Peña) and solving the mystery of The Lost City Of Gold….
Having spent most of her life exploring the jungle with her parents, nothing could prepare Dora (Isabela Moner) for her most dangerous adventure ever – high school. Always the explorer, Dora quickly finds herself leading Boots (her best friend, a monkey), Diego (Jeff Wahlberg), a mysterious jungle inhabitant (Eugenio Derbez), and a rag tag group of teens on a live-action adventure to save her parents (Eva Longoria, Michael Peña) and solve the impossible mystery behind a lost city of gold.
The film also stars Eugenio Derbez, Adriana Barraza, Temuera Morrison, Jeff Wahlberg, Nicholas Coombe, Madeleine Madden, and Danny Trejo.
Dora And The Lost City Of Gold doesn’t have an exact date confirmed for the UK and Ireland. Paramount Pictures will release the film in the U.S in August, possibly similar date or slightly later .
