Anime Review - Bleach Series 13 Part 2 (episodes 279-291)

The second part to the 13th series of Bleach.

It continues on from part one where Captain Ukitake and Kyoraku is in the middle of battling Stark.
When the monster gets called from a Garganta that opens, blows the fires away from Aizen, Kaname, and Gin releasing them onto the battlefield. All seems lost as Espadas Harribel and Barragan are released refreshed and angry by Wonderweiss.

As the end looks nigh for the Soul Reapers, the Visored show up, fashionably late, not as an ally to the Soul Reapers, but as an enemy to Aizen.

The fights are tense, difficult, even after the battle between Ichigo and Ulquiorra, in the world of the living we still have a struggle between fights.

I could go into detail about each fight but that would give away the fun of it all.

We see the impressive strengths of the Visored come to life as they aid the Soul Reaper Captains fight the top three Espada.We also get to see a little more about Captain Kyoraku’s strengths.Back in Las Noches, Yami the tenth Espada shows his true strengths.

Everything is tense and grim but never the less there are spatterings of comedy, especially between Toshiro, Hiyori, and Lisa. Our other comic hilarities come in the form of the shorts at the end of each episode, which are worth watching for a good laugh.

Episode number 287 is a small side story called: Ichigo and the Magic Lamp.

A confusing side step to the story, nothing related to the current storyline, but funny once you accept it as what it is: one episode of filler.

At the end of the series we are left hanging on the edge of our seats in traditional Bleach style by the arrival of Ichigo Kurosake entering the world of the living and straight into the battlefield, healed anew by Captain Unohana on their way through a Garganta created by Captain Mayuri.
