Avengers Endgame IMAX (2019)

This time next month, fans will be enjoying the concluding part of Avengers: Endgame. As we prepare to find out who will stop Thanos snapping his fingers again, how are you going to watch the film?

When it comes to most of the big blockbuster films you have to choose more than just the time you want to watch. You also have to take into consideration what format, 2D? 3D? IMAX?

The best ways to experience the end of this chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is in IMAX cinemas because the directors Joe and Anthony Russo designed it specially for IMAX. They exclusively used IMAX cameras to shoot the entire film and that has only been done once before (for AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR.)

It made sense to us that the grandest cinematic event in Marvel history should be executed in full IMAX.” – Joe Russo

The level of ambition in these films is pretty high and we needed equipment that could help us fulfil that ambition.” – Anthony Russo

The film also features IMAX expanded aspect ratio which means, only in IMAX, the crystal-clear images will fill the IMAX screen for the entire film which is up to 26% more picture than what audiences see in standard cinemas. Check out this short Featurette, which the brothers talk about the film which is intended to be watched in IMAX
