BEATS – DVD Release (2019)
BEATS – the Scottish comedy-drama directed by Brain Welsh (Black Mirror, 2010) – will be available on DVD and VOD on the 9th of September.

Set during 1994, the Criminal Justice Bill attempts to restrict the free party movement, facing a backlash of angsty retaliation. Best friends Johnno (Cristian Ortega) and Spanner (Lorn Macdonald) – whose adulthood seem to be stemming in different directions – find themselves embroiled in the illegal rave plans of legendary DJ D-Man. An electrifying coming-of-age tale, BEATS explores the power of friendship, rebellion and youth culture in a black-and-white period of existence.
BEATS is based on the hit play by Kieran Hurley and features the curated soundtrack of JD Twitch. As dance music is at the core of Hurley’s powerful story, the soundtrack will be available on September 13th, 2019. Both the vinyl and CD track list feature mixes from Liquid Liquid, Plastikman and N-Joi, available for pre-order here.
