Broccoli rules out 3D Bond films in the future

Skyfall and their wait is finally over – but the film’s producer has dismissed rumours that future James Bond flicks will be made in 3D.

More and more films are being released in 3D to give viewers a totally different cinematic appearance.
With Bond being a hugely-successful franchise that celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, you may think the slick British spy will soon be appearing on our screens in 3D.

Barbara Broccoli, though, has other ideas.

Skyfall marks the 11th Bond film that Broccoli has worked on, with her father the legendary Albert Broccoli.
Broccoli hinted that it could be some time before Bond makes the move to 3D.

She told Screen Rant: “We’re in IMAX, which we’re very excited about and I think that experience will be great. Not quite ready for 3D yet.

Positive critic reviews of Skyfall mean the film currently has a rating close to 100% on well-known movie site rottentomatoes.com.

Skyfall marks the first time a British director has been in charge of a Bond film in over a decade, with Sam Mendes revealed that he’s keen to make another.

He told Time Out: “I’ve enjoyed it enough to do it again.I think the choice is in the audience’s hands.
If people love the movie and they want to see another one from the same people who brought you Skyfall, then that would mean a lot to me.”

I would feel like, ‘Well, actually there are people who really want to see it‘.”

To celebrate the launch of Skyfall, we’re giving away a special fancy dress morphsuit tuxedo courtesy of Fancy Dress Ball.
