Bumblebee First Trailer Has A Different Spin On Transformers

Transformers and Michael Bay in one sentence nowadays make most cinephiles cringe. Now let’s take a step back, what about a Transformers film that’s not directed by Bay? Step forward Bumblebee and today Paramount Pictures has released the first Trailer.
In the first spin-off film from the Transformers universe, we hark back to the 1980’s as our yellow friendly Autobot, gets his own film. After numerous films been the loyal sidekick to Optimus Prime, he once again makes a friend. Not Sam Witwicky but Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld) who thinks she just scored herself a VW Beetle.
Every adventure has a beginning and below the UK version of the trailer is ready for your viewing pleasure. Jump aboard and enjoy the 1980’s vibe, just don’t play Rick Astley!
We won’t over-commit ourselves to say this will be fantastic though we hope it will be. This has the humour we expect but also has a different tone which makes this feel a different type of beast. Most of all this feels like a Transformers film that feels like it’s more like a film based on those toys of the 1980’s. I was a kid of that decade and sign me up to check this one out!
On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld), on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns this is no ordinary, yellow VW bug.
Bumblebee will arrive in UK and Irish Cinemas from Christmas (21st December for the USA).
The film also stars John Cena, Pamela Adlon, Kenneth Choi, Megan Pryce, and Martin Short.
