Robert Pattinson Kills In The Gritty UK Trailer For The Rover

Society has collapsed but how far would you go to get the one thing that still matters to you? In the New UK trailer for The Rover Robert Pattinson kills to get that one thing back.
Last week the film industry’s premier film festival Cannes announced it’s 2014 line up with Animal Kingdom with the ever reliable Guy Pearce co-starring with R-Patz this film is certainly an exciting prospect.
In The Rover 10 years after the collapse of society, normal life has been ripped apart forcing people scavenge the war stricken lands for means of survival. Eric (Guy Pearce) a loner travels those dangerous lands but when a gang steal his only possession his car, they leave behind one of their own Rey (Pattinson) injured. Alone in The Australian Outback the pair give chase but does Eric have some mysterious cargo in the car that’s more important than anything else?
This certainly looks like R-Patz has finally shredded good public school boy charms that have followed him on his early films, the proper spoken English has been replaced by a gruffer American accent, scruffier look most of tattooed. Will those cinephiles who despised Twilight finally give the English actor credit where it’s due? If director Michod can deliver a unrelenting film that’s reminiscent to The Road, Proposition even a streak of Mad Max, The Rover might just be one of those exciting Summer prospects we’ll need to check out.
The Rover is set 22nd August UK Release date with it’s world premiere screening at Cannes Midnight Screenings During May. The film also stars Scoot McNairy.

Loved the trailer, I’m really looking forward to this movie. One bugbear though, you’ve respected the other actors/director enough to type out their full names in the article, and yet you still call Robert Pattinson by the awful celeb name R-Patz. Please afford him the same privilege as others, he himself has said he hates the nickname and would like to strangle the person who invented it. Just saying.
thanks for your reply Jess, apologies the nickname he is referred to you don’t I only used it as it was a name many people I know are fans of the Twilight franchise call him. I don’t think at any way I was been offensive towards him, I was actually been more positive as I think he has matured even if some of those post twilight films haven’t been critical success they do show and The Rover is one film will help him, likewise for his former Twilight Co-star Kirsten Stewart who showing signs too, unfortunately Taylor Lautner still to prove. Apologies Jess
