When comes to heart, emotion and popularity, Pixar’s Up is right up at the top of the list. Next month Disney Pixar will release their next animated feature Elemental, and Carl’s Date will be the opening short, check out the official Trailer!

Ed Asner returns in what was his final role as Carl from Up with Dug (Bob Peterson). This essentially plays like the Disney+ spin-off series Dug Days (Carl’s dog), the pair face their biggest challenge. To get Carl ready for a date! In 2009 classic animation Carl attempted to move from his late wife, this short film is that move. Like anyone of any age you can see he’s stressing out in what and how today’s dating game works.

Fans of Up will adore every minute of this short, to be frank anyone will love this. The grief of the film will be gone replaced by hearts and hopefully kisses!

Opening exclusively in cinemas 7th July in front of Disney and Pixar’s “Elemental,” the all-new short marks a return to the studio’s tradition of pairing its feature films with animated shorts on the big screen. Written and directed by Academy Award® nominee and Emmy® Award winner Bob Peterson and produced by Kim Collins, “Carl’s Date” goes home with Carl Fredricksen (voice of Ed Asner) and his lovable talking dog, Dug (voice of Peterson), who were introduced in Pixar’s Oscar®-winning feature “Up.” Moviegoers will catch up with Carl as he reluctantly agrees to go on a date with a lady friend—but ittedly has no idea how dating works these days. Ever the helpful friend, Dug steps in to calm Carl’s pre-date jitters and offer some tried-and-true tips for making friends—if you’re a dog.

Carl’s Date will play in front of Disney Pixar‘s Elemental in the UK and Ireland from 7th July.
