Art The Clown Is Back For Fourth Time

Damien Leone, writer/director and creator of the Terrifier franchise, gave fans an update on Wednesday saying that the announced fourth part will be the final film in the series and will give fans something they haven’t had before.

Taking to his on X on Wednesday, Leone confirmed: “The script for Terrifier 4 is in the works and it’s shaping up to be a most epic, thrilling, nasty, horrifying, emotional and utterly satisfying conclusion. P.s., I will finally reveal Art’s origin”

He previously talked about his plans for the franchise and whether there was a definitive end, telling Deadline:

“It doesn’t have to end, and you know, once we open the door of the supernatural, anything’s possible in this franchise,” he added. “So, I don’t think you could ever officially put the nail in the coffin, but if I ever did want to end it, I now have a satisfying conclusion for myself as an artist, as the creator.”

The Terrifer franchise has become one of horror’s most successful, with the series grossing over $100million worldwide against its combined budgets across films standing at less than $2.5million, making it one of the most financially successful franchises ever. Terrifier 3, released last November, was the biggest of the three, grossing $89million from its $2million budget.

All the films are now available on home formats.
