Drake’s Top Boy Finds New Home At Netflix Watch Season 3 Trailer

If you ever wonder what happened to all those critically acclaimed drama series Channel 4 once had? Netflix! Ever since Black Mirror many shows find themselves revived on the streaming channel and Top Boy is the Latest.
The new instalment is executive produced by multi-faceted entertainer and producer Drake. The Canadian rapper was such a fan of the show he decided to buy the rights to the show.
Speaking of his inspiration behind the show, creator and writer Ronan Bennett shared “Ten years ago, I witnessed a 10-year-old boy dealing drugs outside my local supermarket. It made me question what was going on in my own community and led me to create Top Boy.”

The new episodes pick up as Dushane (Ashley Walters) returns from exile to his home in London to reclaim his throne in the highly lucrative drug market. He teams up with Sully (Kane Robinson), his spiritual brother, partner and sometime rival who is also returning to the same streets after his own form of exile – prison – comes to an end. Awaiting them both is Jamie (Micheal Ward), the young, hungry and ruthless gang leader whose ambitions leave no place for Dushane and Sully.
Ashley Walters and Kane Robinson reprise their roles as ‘Dushane’ and ‘Sully’. Shone Romulus returns as ‘Dris’ and Ashley Thomas returns as ‘Jermaine’. They are ed ed by Micheal Ward, Simbi Ajikawo ‘Little Simz’, David Omoregie ‘Dave’. Lisa Dwan, Jasmine Jobson, Kadeem Ramsay , Saffron Hocking Kola Bokinni and Hope Ikpoku.
Top Boy is directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green (Monsters and Men), Nia DaCosta (Candyman, Little Woods), Aneil Karia (Pure, Lovesick) and Brady Hood (Endeavour). The series features original music by Brian Eno and Michael ‘Mikey J’ Asante.
New episodes of Top Boy will debut on Netflix in Autumn 2019.
