Dune: Messiah Set to Begin Filming This Summer

Exciting news for Dune fans—Dune: Messiah is officially gearing up for production. According to Deadline, filming is set to begin this summer, with pre-production already in motion. The biggest challenge right now is coordinating the schedules of the star-studded cast, but the team is aiming to have everything lined up in time to roll cameras in the coming months.
The highly anticipated sequel will be based on Frank Herbert’s 1969 novel Dune: Messiah, the second book in the legendary Dune series. The story continues the journey of Paul “Muad’Dib” Atreides as he navigates his reign as Emperor and the consequences of his role as the prophesied messiah to the Fremen.
While casting details haven’t been officially confirmed, it’s expected that much of the core ensemble from Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Florence Pugh, and others who brought the epic tale to life.
Dune: Part Two made a massive impact upon its release in March 2024, both critically and commercially. The film raked in over $700 million at the global box office and earned five Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture and Best Cinematography.
