Everyone Needs To Be Heard In UK Trailer For Knocking

Everyone needs to be heard in Swedish psychological horror thriller Knocking. Later this month the film is heading to Arrow Video FrightFest, Signature Entertainment who will be releasing the film tease us with the film’s UK Trailer.

Frida Kempff‘s chiller premiered earlier this years Midnight Section at Sundance Film Festival.  This film won’t go quiet,  as we follow Molly (Cecilia Milocco ) who has moved into a new home. Suddenly she is greeted by knocking on her walls with no clue where it’s coming from. As she questions these knocks from her neighbours who don’t believe her, the knocks become more desperate and her life becomes unravelled as things intensifies.

I have to it, for many reasons my anxieties have been very  bad. This film plays on humanities anxieties, fears making things claustrophobic, psychological horrors are on the rise here’s hoping this one is one of the good ones!

Knocking is a twisty, claustrophobic and gut-wrenching thriller streaked with horror, from director and Cannes Palme D’Or winner Frida Kempff (Winter Buoy), with a fierce and soul-baring central performance from Cecilia Milocco (Involuntary). A woman (Molly) who has just experienced a traumatic incident is unnerved by a haunting knocking sound from upstairs in her new apartment building. As the noises become more desperate and increasingly sound like cries for help, she confronts her neighbours, but it seems no one else can hear them. In an unsettling quest for truth, Molly soon realizes that no one believes her, and begins to question if she even believes herself – a realization that is perhaps even more chilling.

The film cast also includes Albin Grenholm, Ville Virtanen, Krister Kern, Alexander Salzberger and Charlotta Åkerblom.

Knocking will premiere first at Arrow Video FrightFest on 29th August [more info]. Then will be released by Signature Entertainment under FrightFest Presents via Digital Platforms from 15th November.
