Frankenweenie ‘Raises A Monster’ In Gala Opening For BFI 56th London Film Festival

Last night Tim Burton’s brand new film Frankenweenie was chosen to open the 56th BFI London Film Festival.With the film virtually been film not far away at the Mill Studios in the east end of the city what better place for Disney to premier the film at UK’s premier film festival. American Express one of the major partners of the festival have sent us the latest edition of there video magazine ‘Entertainment Insider’ which is hosted by Lauren Laverne which is for their card preferred seating programme a behind the scenes look at some of UK big entertainment events.
The latest event is of course London Film festival with the video featuring a selection of stars who appear in the film on the red carpet being interviewed by Lauren Laverne, discussing their parts and what it’s like to work on such a film. The People’s Movies Chris was at the premier last night gave the film a glowing report, not saying it’s perfect but vast improvement on Tim Burton’s previous films with Martin Landau been one of the highlights, stay tuned for his review!
Frankenweenie is the heartwarming tale about a boy and his dog. After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life—with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor’s fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new “leash on life” can be monstrous.
Frankenweenie will be officially released in UK&Ireland 17th October, film stars the voice talents of Charlie Tahan, Winona Ryder, Martin Short, Catherine O’Hara, Atticus Shaffer, Robert Capron, Conchata Ferrell and Martin Landau.
