Godzilla Vs. Kong Spends Third Week Official Film Chart Top Spot

No rest for the Kaiju as Godzilla vs. Kong scores a third week at Number 1 on the Official Film Chart.

More than doubling the sales of its closest competition, the ultimate battle of the monsters is the week’s biggest seller on both disc formats and digital s – with 75% of the film’s total made up of DVD and Blu-ray copies.

This week’s highest new entry, flying in at Number 2 is Batman: The Long Halloween, Part 1. The DC animated feature film is the first of a two-part series starring Jensen Ackles, Josh Duhamel, Troy Baker and the late Naya Rivera.

Former Number 1 Zack Snyder’s Justice League drops to Number 3 while Tom & Jerry: The Movie holds firm at Number 4. The Hitman’s Bodyguard jumps four places to Number 5 thanks to its sequel being released in cinemas.

Wonder Woman 1984 drops three to Number 6, A Quiet Place drops two places to 7 and Raya and The Last Dragon spends a second week at Number 8, while Tenet sneaks up one to Number 9.

Finally, Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw zooms nine places to Number 10, thanks to the highly anticipated Fast and Furious 9 dominating the cinema box office this past weekend.

This week’s Official Film Chart online show features a sneak peek at Emily Blunt and Jamie Dornan in romantic comedy Wild Mountain Thyme, which is available to & Keep from 5th July.
