Going To Be One ‘Heavy Trip’ At Arrow In July

July is only days away and Arrow has an essential, selection of films and series to keep you cool and entertained next month and it will be one ‘Heavy Trip’.
Next month will include the exclusive premiere of hysterical Finnish comedy gem HEAVY TRIP, Rose Leslie on a horrifying HONEYMOON, a selection of sensational cult Westerns including Lucio Fulci’s MASSACRE TIME with Franco Nero, Antonio Margheriti’s AND GOD SAID TO CAIN starring Klaus Kinski, and Massimo Dallamano’s BANDIDOS; as well as GOMORRAH Season 4, Maisie Williams in THE FALLING, Satanic panics, massacres and serial killers, Bill Hicks, and so much more…
In HEAVY TRIP, an outrageously named black metal band takes to the road, on their way to Finland’s top rock festival. Featuring “the most charming ensemble of morbid dorks since What We Do In The Shadows” (A.V.Club), and described by The Hollywood Reporter as “a rollicking romp”, this is a laugh out loud, slapstick-packed rock and roll road trip you need to turn all the way up to 11, premiering exclusively on ARROW.
And if you’re feeling the heat in July, then why not try these chillers to cool you down – in HONEYMOON, Game of Thrones star Rose Leslie and Luke Treadaway are newlyweds whose romance slowly gives way to terror, with writer/director Leigh Janiak putting a unique stamp on an intimate chilling thriller; in SATANIC PANIC, murder goes luxe in an hilarious horror romp from renowned author Grady Hendrix, with a cast led by Rebecca Romijn (X-Men, The Librarians) and Jerry O’Connell (Piranha 3D); in ICE CREAM MAN, the legendary Clint Howard (Solo, Evilspeak) is Gregory, freshly released from the sanatorium and ready to sell his wares to the kids!; in horror romp BOOK OF MONSTERS, Sophie’s 18th birthday becomes a bloodbath when monsters descend upon her house and start to devour the party guests; while in A SERIAL KILLER’S GUIDE TO LIFE, murder meets self-help in a darkly satirical cross between Thelma & Louise and Sightseers, that The Hollywood News says is “set to become a cult classic”.
TV highlights for JULY include Season 4 of the sensational Italian crime drama GOMORRAH, starring Salvator Esposito (Fargo Season 4) as a gangster facing all-out-war in Naples; and Season 1 of IRENE HUSS (with Season 2 following in August), based on the acclaimed books by Swedish author Helene Tursten, about a female police investigator in Gothenburg.
And make sure you don’t miss the ARROW Summer Road Trip, an all-month season where we’ll be taking a road trip around the US through ARROW releases. Along the way we’ll – encounter crazed city residents in Abel Ferrara’s New York-set DRILLER KILLER; see townsfolk running amok in George A. Romero’s Pennsylvania plague horror THE CRAZIES; pick up a hitchhiker from an infamous cannibal clan in Tobe Hooper’s THE TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE; stop for a refreshing dip in Florida in William Grefe’s MAKO: JAWS OF DEATH; avoid a mutant astronaut in Bill Rebane’s Wisconsin-lensed MONSTER A GO-GO, and much more – so jump in the ARROW RV and buckle up for 50 states and a hell of a lot more films – it’s going to be a bumpy ride!
ALSO SHOWING: South African neo-Western sensation FIVE FINGERS FOR MARSEILLES, startling short films from Nicholas Santos, killer tattoos in IREZUMI, a selection of films chosen by SATANIC PANIC director Chelsea Stardust, corporate satire in GIANTS AND TOYS, and more…
