No one once again won’t hear you scream in space as those damn Xenomorphs are returning to cinema in Alien: Romulus. Today 20th Century Studios unleash the first UK Teaser Trailer and something lurks in the dark.

After Ridley Scott’s Alien Covenant, is Alien: Romulus the third in that series? No. There probably should be one more film, the latest Scott produces and Fede Alvarez directing. This 60 second promo packs in plenty of Xenomorphs and facehuggers to make this worthwhile watch.

For this one, we find ourselves the period of time between the original Alien and Aliens. Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla) leading the cast of young colonists who are scavenging abandoned space station. As you’ll see they are not alone, something lurks in the dark!

Alvarez will be known for his work on the 2013 Evil Dead reboot. That did not hold back on the blood and this one suggests he’s been given the same license. There is a big slice of nostalgia going here on many levels which fans of the franchise will love. From Spaeny the lone female protagonist, the fear of silence travelling through the space station.

We do like what we’re seeing. The strong start this franchise might just be back in business, how far will they go? 2025 Noah Hawley set to direct Alien prequel series, everyone one will hear us scream with excitement.

The sci-fi/horror-thriller takes the phenomenally successful “Alien” franchise back to its roots: While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonisers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe.

The film also stars David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu. Alien: Romulus will arrive in UK and Irish cinemas from 16th August.
