In New Annette Trailer Adam Driver Let’s Rip…Vocally!

Some are calling it one of the most anticipated films for 2021. Be it for from the man who brought us the totally bonkers Holy Motors, or it stars Adam Driver, whatever your reason Annette will be on our screens very soon.

Earlier this month we learned MUBI will be brining the film to the UK, today, the North American promotion kicked off. Amazon will be releasing the film Stateside via Prime Video and they have debuted the official first Trailer as Adam Driver let’s rip…vocally!

In Annette we follow stand up comedian Henry (Driver) who lives in Los Angeles. His humour is fierce which attracts Ann (Marion Cotillard) a renown soprano singer. Before you know it they pair are a couple and eventually they have a daughter Annette arrives who has unbelievable powers that will change their lives forever.

Curiosity will drive many to check this one out. It’s Carax’s seventh film, his first English language feature as well as a musical! Throw in the small matter that the soundtrack comes from Sparks! Need we say more?!

Set in contemporary Los Angeles, Annette stars Henry (Adam Driver) as a stand-up comedian with a fierce sense of humor who falls in love with Ann (Marion Cotillard), a world-renowned opera singer. Under the spotlight, they form a ionate and glamorous couple. With the birth of their first child, Annette, a mysterious little girl with an exceptional destiny, their lives are turned upside down.

The film also stars Simon Helberg , Ron Mael and Russell Mael (aka Sparks).

Annette will be released in the U.S first in select cinemas from 6th August then on 20th August on Prime Video. In the UK and Ireland MUBI is releasing the film from 3rd September.
