In Seven Days time Avengers: Endgame will be released, so what better time to release the third Trailer for another concluding franchise X-Men: Dark Phoenix.

In what is looking like the film’s final Trailer before the film is released, the latest promo is pushing Jean Grey’s final swan song. A Phoenix will rise, the X-Men will fall!

The X-Men franchise is up in the air at the moment with no clues what’s next for them. With the emerging Disney/Fox merger will the X-Men be adapted into the MCU or find themselves in some shape or form in Disney‘s Streaming channel? Or are we looking at a new trilogy starter?

This new Trailer does give us an insight into Magneto’s Genosha, hardcore fans of the X-Men will recognise the name. A mutants island paradise. It gives Jean some respite from the chaos and carnage she delivers throughout the promo. Last hurrah for the X-Men universe? Hopefully not!

In DARK PHOENIX, the X-MEN face their most formidable and powerful foe: one of their own, Jean Grey. During a rescue mission in space, Jean is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful but far more unstable. Wrestling with this entity inside her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiralling out of control and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite — not only to save Jean’s soul but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy.

Dark Phoenix will star Sophie Turner, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, and Jessica Chastain.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix now has a new  UK and Irish Cinema release date. It will be 5th June 2019.
