Jim Jarmusch’s Only Lovers Left Releases First Trailer

When the king of arthouse quirky weirdness  Jim Jarmusch announces he  to make a  vampire film a counter film to Twilight he was greeted great sarcasm now few years on that film Only Lovers Left Alive has been made now watch first trailer.

Set against the romantic desolation of Detroit and Tangier, Adam (Tom Hiddleston) an underground musician, deeply depressed by the direction of human activities, reunites with his resilient and enigmatic lover Eve (Tilda Swinton). Their love story has already endured several centuries at least, but their debauched idyll is soon disrupted by her wild and uncontrollable younger sister. Can these wise but fragile outsiders continue to survive as the modern world collapses around them?

Love him or hate him when a filmmaker dives into  into a genre you wouldn’t expect them to explore its actually quite exciting to see the end product. The festival reviews have been  great and  Only Lovers Left Alive has all the trademark weirdness, stylings you want to see, so if your a fan you’ll be raring to see this one, check out the international trailer below…

Don’t expect the cliches you expect from the vampire sub genre and having the vampire mythology on par with drug addiction makes Only Lovers Left and interesting premise. The scope works perfectly with the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle of our lead characters and despite this film head to toe a arthouse film don’t be surprised if horror fans curiosity checking this one out

Only Lovers Left Alive doesn’t have a official UK or even U.S release date however  Sony Picture Classics have bought the rights to the films so expect a release date probably 2014. The film also stars Mia Wasikowska, John Hurt and Anton Yelchin.
