Warner Bros. are getting ready to ‘dance’ with the release date and first Poster for Joker: Folie à Deux.

Love or hate it, Todd Phillips 2019 Joker film starring Joaquin Phoenix was always going to get a sequel. It made just over $1 billion dollars and later this year that sequel when the world will be Arthur Fleck’s stage on 4th October.

Ahead that Autumn cinema release date, we wont have to wait long for the first footage. Next Tuesday 9th April (possibly 10th in the UK) it looks like the official first trailer will be released.

For Joker: Folie à Deux, Arthur will have a partner in crime, Margot Robbie in the Suicide Squad films. The 2016 version the last time both characters shared the screen with Jared Leto as the Joker.

Not much is known about the actual plot for the new film. It’s going to be a musical as much as it will be a film with romantic undertones. Whatever that plot will be, it wont be good news for the citizens of Gotham.

Quinzel was simply Arthur’s psychologist who would fall under the spell of the crown prince of crime. She would also help him escape from Arkham Asylum, so what does Folie à Deux actually mean? It means “a delusion or mental illness shared by two people in close association”.

Along with Phoenix and Gaga, Zazie Beetz will return as Sophie Drummond. They will also be ed by Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland and Steve Coogan all roles unknown at this stage.

Joker: Folie à Deux will be released in UK, Irish and US cinemas from 4th October.
