New Poster For Tolkien Is All About Life, Courage And Fellowship

He was the man who wrote about the ‘One Ring To Rule Them All’, J.R.R. Tolkien and The Lord Of The Rings. This May Fox Searchlight will be releasing Tolkien the film and today have released the film’s official Artwork.

Nicholas Hoult plays out titular character John Ronald Reuel Tolkien . The film promises to cover the writer’s younger days from his childhood up to his days going to World War One.  A great war that would inspire him to write his greatest ever work.

Below the poster has  Hoult centre of the poster, to his left that infamous ring. Inside that ring we have Lily Collins who plays his love interest Edith Bratt. Behind her we see JRR with his ‘fellowship’ of close friends with opposite corner a glimpse of a scene from Lord Of The Rings…

TOLKIEN explores the formative years of the orphaned author as he finds friendship, love and artistic inspiration among a group of fellow outcasts at school. This takes him into the outbreak of World War I, which threatens to tear the “fellowship” apart. All of these experiences would inspire Tolkien to write his famous Middle-earth novels.

Directed by Dome Karukoski from a script by David Gleeson and Stephen Beresford, the film also stars Lily Collins, Colm Meaney, Anthony Boyle, Patrick Gibson, Tom Glynn-Carney, Craig Roberts, Laura Donnelly, Genevieve O’Reilly, Pam Ferris and Derek Jacobi.

Tolkien will arrive in the UK and Irish Cinemas from 3rd May( 10th May in the USA).
