New UK Poster For Ken Loach’s I,Daniel Blake

When it’s comes to a Ken Loach film, it’s always an intriguing affair , to see which of the social injustices he highlight’s. When it’s comes to the current Conservative government their list of injustices against the common man and woman would shame anyone.
This October Ken Loach’s latest film I Daniel Blake (which won the Palme d’Or at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival) will arrive in UK&Irish Cinemas. Today we have a new UK Poster to promote the film’s release, a poster that might not mean much to some folks. But when you look at the film’s title it’s spray painted onto a wall, a wall in a working class area our film’s titular character lives in. If you go to similar areas all over the UK, be it the housing estates in London, Manchester,Birmingham, Glasgow and Newcastle where this film is set you will see similar graffiti walls.
In I,Daniel Blake we meet middle aged mane Daniel Blake (59)who has worked as a er most of his life in Newcastle. Now, for the first time ever, he needs help from the State. He crosses paths with single mother Katie and her two young children, Daisy and Dylan. Katie’s only chance to escape a one-roomed homeless hostel in London has been to accept a flat in a city she doesn’t know, some 300 miles away.
Daniel and Katie find themselves in no-man’s land, caught on the barbed wire of welfare bureaucracy as played out against the rhetoric of ‘striver and skiver’ in modern-day Britain.
