The Nice Guys Become ‘Poster Boys’ In New Posters

This film might say there ‘Nice Guys’ but there not, In new character posters for The Nice Guys, Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe are Shane Black‘s  ‘poster boys’ ! Armed and Dangerous, Lock and Loaded!

The Nice Guys takes place in 1970s Los Angeles, when down-on-his-luck private eye Holland March (Gosling) and hired enforcer Jackson Healy (Crowe) must work together to solve the case of a missing girl and the seemingly unrelated death of a porn star. During their investigation, they uncover a shocking conspiracy that reaches up to the highest circles of power.

The film has been given many names and titles. Comedy Noir, Crime Noir with comedy but the favourite is ‘the spiritual sequel to Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. To many fans of Black’s films that is their ultimate favourite Black film and if The Nice Guys can emulate it, it has every chance of been a success. Whilst the comedy comes through strongly in the trailers you can clearly see it’s still a dark at times violent film with vulgar laughs and buddy cop chemistry at it’s best from Crowe and Gosling will make this a refreshing alternatives to the overloaded Summer blockbuster calender.

The Nice Guys is set for 3rd June UK release and will co-star Angourie Rice, Matt Bomer, Margaret Qualley, Keith David and Oscar winner Kim Basinger.
