Orbit Descends In New Epic 2nd UK Trailer For Jupiter Ascending

Orbit descends For Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis as Warner Bros  unleashed a brand new second  UK trailer for  The Wachowski‘s Jupiter Ascending delivering a film full of comic book goodness.

In a summer that will be full of big named franchised blockbusters Lana and Andy Wachowski show ambition with Jupiter Ascending that originality may still be alive amongst the adaptations , remakes and every type of money grabbing machine. This one looks like the Wachowski’s are attempting to recapture some of that magic they delivered with The Matrix, the question is will it match its box office presence?

In Jupiter Ascending Jupiter Jones (Kunis) is an recently arrived Russian immigrant in a lowly paid cleaning job who discovers she maybe the descendant of a galactic royal family who maybe next in line for the throne. a genetically engineered ex-military hunter (Tatum) is tracking her down when Jupiter starts to except the fate that lies ahead for her.

After the underrated Cloud Atlas many critics have been lining up to rip anything they release, isn’t it refreshing to see a filmmaker challenge the industry with new material ? Ok their last couple of films never light the box office  but have we over consumed ourselves with these big blockbusters that anything remotely ambitious will be a failure? This trailer we do like, it delivers a little more of a back story as well as the universe our heroes will be venturing through. Many detractors have said the lack of assets has made them doubt it’s potential success, really no movie is guaranteed success that’s the industry.We love the visual style  and it’s epic tone, the scale of this film is grand and the fact they give those actors not necessarily always  premier league list stars a chance to shine, we do love Eddie Redmayne attempt to deliver a fun villain!

Synopsis

Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis star in “Jupiter Ascending,” an original science fiction epic adventure from filmmakers Lana and Andy Wachowski (The Matrix). 

Jupiter Jones (Kunis) was born under a night sky, with signs predicting that she was destined for great things.  Now grown, Jupiterdreams of the stars but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning other people’s houses and an endless run of bad breaks.  Only when Caine (Tatum), a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, arrives on Earth to track her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse the fate that has been waiting for her all along—her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos.
