Just when you thought you escaped your past, it always does its best to catch up with you. In Serenity, Matthew McConaughey paradise isn’t all that it seems. When Anne Hathaway approaches him to kill her husband will he?

After been teased by the film’s U.S Trailer back in the Summer, today Sky Cinema Originals releases the UK Trailer. Who is she? Does this blonde femme fatale have a history with him?

The film is the latest film under Sky Cinema ‘Originals’ films, which so far has been very disappointing. This one does look the strongest release so far for Sky (The Hurricane Heist, Final Score, Monster Family, Anon the released so far).

McConaughey plays a fishing boat captain living in the Caribbean. His past catches up with him when a woman approaches him to kill her husband. Does she have a legit reason for this request? This looks a psychological mystery, the synopsis doesn’t give much away. It does tease it may have a more violent tone which hasn’t been revealed. Steven Knight is the director (Peaky Blinders, Hummingbird, Locke) here and he certainly looks like he’s opted for a more neo-noir film. A sub-genre we don’t see a lot of these days, check it out…
