A while back when news broke that Paranormal Activity was going to have an sequel the stories started to break who may or may not direct the follow up to the worldwide sucessfull microbudget flick.

First of all the first director many believed Saw Director Kevin Greutert would be directing, well he was apparently and due to something in his contract he had to go back to Saw Franchise and will be directing SAW 7 aka SAW 3D. Saw and Paranormal Activity 2 look likely to be at loggerheads this Halloween as both are been planned for a October 22nd release date. The next director in the firing line  was Scarface director  Brian De Palma  then   Akiva Goldsman  I Am Legend, Hancock Producer.

So many of us believed the sequel to the movie reported of only cost $15,000 to make but rolled in $151 million worldwide would get a big name director? I’m afraid not, the director of Movie 2 is Todd ‘Kip’ Williams. Like me who is he">Door In The Floor.

One rumour some sites got right was the involvement of the movie of Akiva Goldman who is on board as an executive producer with a script by Michael Perry and Oren Peli producing.

Movie One director Oren Peli posted the following comment on the movies offical Website :

“We are thrilled to have Kip working with us,” Peli says.

“He is the guy we want at the helm, because he knows exactly what we want to deliver to the fans…and I can’t wait to be a part of what he’s putting together. I don’t want to spoil the story but I promise it’ll surprise you.”
I am one of the minority of people who found 75% of the movie boring but fantastic ending so hopefully whoever the next movie will be based on please try keep it exciting all the way through, please!!!
