Anyone for a pint of Guinness? Netflix have today announced the cast for Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight‘s House Of Guinness.

With production of the 8 part series based on one of Ireland’s most famous dynasties now started, what better time to know who is who.  James Norton, Jack Gleeson and Dervla Kirwan all star with Norton playing Sean Rafferty, Gleeson as Byron Hedges and Kirwan as Aunt Agnes Guinness.

ing them will be Anthony Boyle (Masters of the Air, Manhunt) will play Arthur Guinness. Louis Partridge (Pistol, Enola Holmes) will play Edward Guinness, Emily Fairn (The Responder S1& S2, Black Mirror: Demon 79) will play Anne Plunket (née Guinness). Fionn O’Shea (Normal People, Dance First) will play Benjamin Guinness and Niamh McCormack (Everything Now, The Magic Flute) will play Ellen Cochrane. Seamus O’Hara (Blue Lights, An Irish Goodbye) will play Patrick Cochrane, Michael McElhatton (Game of Thrones, The Long Shadow) will play John Potter and Danielle Galligan (Shadow and Bone S1 & S2, Obituary) will play Lady Olivia Hedges. David Wilmot (Station Eleven, Bodkin) will play Bonnie Champion and Hilda Fay (The Woman In The Wall, Spilt Milk (forthcoming) will play Sultan.

House Of Guinness will explore an epic story inspired by one of Europe’s most famous and enduring dynasties – The Guinness Family. Set in 19th-century Dublin and New York, the story will reimagine the period immediately after the death of Sir Benjamin Guinness, the man responsible for the extraordinary success of the Guinness brewery, and the far-reaching impact of his will on the fate of his four adult children, Arthur, Edward, Anne, and Ben, as well as on a group of Dublin characters who work and interact with the phenomenon that is Guinness.

The 8 part series episodes will be directed by Tom Shankland (eps 1-5) and Mounia Akl (eps 6-8).

No word on exactly when House Of Guinness will be launched on Netflix, more likely 2025.
