Sacha Baron Cohen No Longer On Freddy Mercury Biopic

Well it seems Sacha Baron Cohen has had enough of Radio Gaga and his long running One Vision to play legendary Queen frontman Freddy Mercury now looks like has ended.
Deadline is reporting due to creative differences with the remaining Queen and the British comedian turned actor has now decided to walk away from the project. The surviving Queen who have script and director approval over the project are wanting a more family friendlier PG rated film whilst Cohen want a more adult rated film. You could see the British actor’s point as it was no secret that Queen’s former front man’s personal life was colourful, edgier and he would have exploited his homosexual life but to respect the wishes of family as well as the Queen band member they want the world to him for his musicianship.
It’s been a unfortunate long 3 years getting the project up and running this project may never happen now or even be the same as Cohen did have a uncanny resemblance to Freddie Mercury. The higher rated does seem the more logical choice and would attract possibly bigger audience but if surviving band want a family orientated film it might be a project that will be better left alone. If anyone knows Freddie Mercury its his former band mates and a PG rated film might just surprise us.
Sony and GK Films are signed up to produce with Les Miserables director Tom Hooper was rumoured to direct based on a Peter Morgan script
