Sam Mendes’ Beatles Films Officially Unveils Its Fab Four

Much rumoured in the past few months, Oscar Winning director Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Skyfall) took to the stage at CinemaCon yesterday to officially announce his new project about the life and times of The Beatles as well as to confirm the long-rumoured cast for the Fab Four. (via BBC)
As per multiple reports, the Fab Four of The Beatles will consist of Paul Mescal (Gladiator II) as Paul McCartney, Harris Dickinson (Babygirl) as John Lennon, Barry Keoghan (Saltburn) as Ringo Starr, and Joseph Quinn (The Fantastic Four: First Steps) as George Harrison.
The unprecedented project, originally touted as both a single film and mini-series, will consist of four films, each one focusing on a member of the group whilst overlapping with the others throughout.
“Each one is told from the particular perspective of just one of the guys,” Mendes told CinemaCon. “They intersect in different ways – sometimes overlapping, sometimes not… They’re four very different human beings. Perhaps this is a chance to understand them a little more deeply. But together, all four films will tell the story of the greatest band in history.”
“I just felt the story of the band was too huge to fit into a single movie, and that turning it into a TV mini-series just somehow didn’t feel right.”
The films will be released “in proximity” to each other from April 2028.
