“The Age Of Demon Is Here!” In Devil May Cry Anime Trailer

“The Age of Demon is here!” and that can only mean one thing, Devil May Cry. Netflix has released the official Trailer for the anime and Dante is ready what hell throws at him!

This is based on the hit IP video game franchise of the same name from Capcom. The series will have 8 episodes with Adi Shankar as showrunner and Korean Studio Mir responsible for the animation.

Voice actor Johnny Yong Bosch voices Dante our hero and Johnny was also Kaneda in English dubbed version of Akira (his first gig)!. Devil May Cry follows wisecracking demon hunter for hire Dante, who loves destroying the minions of hell. He is unaware that a portal between the demonic and human realms is opening and his actions danger both realms.

It’s all looking good for this Anime and the devilish rabbit seems to be the antagonist. A character which was introduced in the manga series, he may have something Dante wants back. Is that Vergil?

In this animated adaptation of the popular Capcom game and from the vision of Adi Shankar, sinister forces are at play to open the portal between the human and demon realms. In the middle of it all is Dante, an orphaned demon-hunter-for-hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck.
Shankar said, “I’m honored that Netflix and Capcom have entrusted me to shepherd the DEVIL MAY CRY franchise. Alex Larsen and I love these characters, we are part of the fandom, and vow to sur the exceptionally high bar we set for ourselves.

Devil May Cry will arrive on Netflix from 3rd April.
