The First The Hobbit:The Desolation Of Smaug UK Trailer Is Here!

From finding the one ring to rule them all to the door to now confronting the Dragon in the ancestral home of the Dwarves, it’s the official UK trailer for The Hobbit:The Desolation Of Smaug .
The sequel to The Hobbit follows directly from the first film as Bilbo Baggins(Martin Freeman) and the company of Dwarves march homewards to Lonely Mountain to reclaim their homeland. However if you have read the classic books you’ll know the getting their might be long relatively straight forward, it’s whats waiting for them at Lonely Mountain getting rid of that is the problem, Smaug the dragon (voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch)!
This trailer does deliver an extensive look at The Hobbit:The Desolation Of Smaug but if your hoping for a proper look at Smaug you maybe a tad disappointed with this. Yes you will get glimpse of the dragon as well as a massive reminder that this film heavily relies on CGI as well 48FPS/3D technology which will divide audiences and critics once more. Peter Jackson will be either keeping Smaug mostly for later trailers or more importantly his best bits for the film itself will focus on introducing more new characters.Lee Pace (Elvenking Thranduil), Evangeline Lily (Tauriel), Mikael Persbrandt (shape-changer Beorn), Luke Evans (Bard the Bowman) Stephen Fry (Master Of Lake Town) and we mustn’t get the franchises old characters like Orlando Bloom as Legolas.
For looking at this trailer The Hobbit:The Desolation Of Smaug will deliver on action which should keep the cynics at bay but i’m sure many will tread cautiously too. The new film certainly shows that Benedict Cumberbatch will moving up the ranks of cinema’s baddest with not just a dragon but also the mysteriously sinister Necromancer! This maybe Peter Jackson’s toughest film to date with the The Hobbit novella the films are based on it was right to expand to three films instead of having two, if he pulls it off, the last film will only be there to confirm his move was a wise one.
The Hobbit:The Desolation Of Smaug will be released in Glorious 2D as well as unglorious 3D in UK, Ireland and USA on 13th December. The film also stars Ian McKellan, Richard Armitage, Cate Blanchett, Christopher Lee, Hugo Weaving, John Bell, Jed Brophy, Adam Brown, John Callen,Ryan Gage, Mark Hadlow, Peter Hambleton, Stephen Hunter, William Kircher, Sylvester McCoy, Graham McTavish, Michael Mizrahi, James Nesbitt, Dean O’Gorman, Ken Stott, and Aidan Turner.
