Timothy Spall Is ‘On The Bus’ In The Last Bus UK Trailer

Parkland Pictures have sent us over the Official UK Trailer for Gillies MacKinnon‘s The Last Bus starring Timothy Spall. Who travels from John O’Groats to Lands End in honour of his dead wife by bus, literally!

Spall is one of the UK’s acting treasures (also father of Rafe Spall) and always makes films worthy of watch as 99% he is the star attraction. This film comes from the Scottish filmmaker McKinnon who also directed Behind the Lines, Hideous Kinky, Whiskey Galore. In this one Spall plays an elderly man who wife has sadly ed away and to honour his late wife he embarks on an epic trip. With her ashes he decides to travel from John O’Groats down to Land’s End the place they first met. Getting there by bus only a journey that would get him national attention.

Looks superbly acted, full of charm and nostalgia. Give yourself a break from those blockbuster and recharge your brain with this one…

John O’Groats, Scotland: An elderly man, Tom (Spall), whose wife has just ed away uses only local buses on a nostalgic trip to carry her ashes all the way across the UK to Land’s End, where they originally met, using his free bus . Unbeknownst to Tom, his journey begins to capture the imagination of the local people that he comes across and, ultimately, becomes a nationwide story.

The film also stars Phyllis Logan, Grace Calder, Celyn Jones, Brian Pettifer, Colin McCredie, Iain Robertson, and Marnie Baxter.

The Last Bus will arrive in UK and Irish cinemas from 27th August.
