War Comes To Rohan In The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim First Trailer

War is coming to Rohan as Warner Bros release the official first Trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim.
Next week LOTR: The Rings Of Power Season 2 will be streaming on Prime Video, what better time to plug this film. We all know how big and diverse Middle Earth is, rich in opportunities to create potential other films and shows.
This is anime directed by Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Blade Runner: Black Lotus, Eden Of The East). Philippa Boyens is onboard as a producer with Fran Walsh and Peter Jackson as executive producers.
The War Of The Rohirrim will take us back nearly 200 years before the events of the Peter Jackson films. It will take us back to Helms Deep as seen in The Two Towers and the legendary King Helm Hammerhead which it’s named after. Whose House is attacked by Wulf, a Dunlending Lord seeking revenge of his father’s death. Pushing Helm and his people to Hornburg, better known as Helm’s Deep.
This looks fantastic and has ensemble cast with Brian Cox as our King Helm. Gaia Wise as his daughter Héra; and Luke Pasqualino as Wulf. Miranda Otto, reprises her role as Éowyn, Shieldmaiden of Rohan, who serves as the tale’s narrator. The voice ensemble also includes Lorraine Ashbourne , Yazdan Qafouri , Benjamin Wainwright , Laurence Ubong Williams, Shaun Dooley, Michael Wildman, Jude Akuwudike, Bilal Hasna and Janine Duvitski.
Set 183 years before the events chronicled in the original trilogy of films, “The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim” tells the fate of the House of Helm Hammerhand, the legendary King of Rohan. A sudden attack by Wulf, a clever and ruthless Dunlending lord seeking vengeance for the death of his father, forces Helm and his people to make a daring last stand in the ancient stronghold of the Hornburg—a mighty fortress that will later come to be known as Helm’s Deep. Finding herself in an increasingly desperate situation, Héra, the daughter of Helm, must summon the will to lead the resistance against a deadly enemy intent on their total destruction.
The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim will be released in the UK, Ireland and many regions worldwide from 13th December.
