A legendary ex-hitman now turned convenience store owner, it could only be in manga or in anime? Netflix release the first trailer for Sakamoto Days a shopkeeper with a big past!
Running for 18 volumes with Shonen Jump, Yuto Suzuki’s hit manga is finally getting it’s anime adaptation. Here in the UK, things are getting better on Netflix who pulling all stops to become a solid source for Anime. We have the likes of One Piece new episodes coming every Sunday, from 2025 add Sakamoto Days.
The voice cast for this one includes Tomokazu Sugita (as Taro Sakamoto), Nao Tôyama, Ayane Sakura, Nobunaga Shimazaki, Hina Kino, and Miyari Nemoto. Directing this series will be Masaki Watanabe and what will this anime be all about?
Taro Sakamoto, feared by villains and ired by other hit men. Like many men he fell in love, got out of shape, now working in a small convenience store. However as much as Taro loved his old life, he loves his current one better, and is dragged into the old life when assassins target him.

Just as we wait for this series to arrive online, Shonen Jump on their you tube channel released a Live Action Trailer. Our Japanese isn’t 100% this might just be a fun short film to celebrate the release of 18th volume of the Manga. To be honest I would not at all be surprised if this becomes a film or series.
