Watch The Awesome New OZ:The Great And Powerful Trailer

When you look at the Wizard Of Oz in the nature of today’s film industry its actually surprising it’s taken so long for someone to explore L.Frank Baum’s wonderful world, Sam Raimi’s Oz:The Great And Powerful provide us the transport and today Disney provide a wonderful second trailer!
The Wizard Of Oz is a prequel which transports us back to how Oscar Diggs(James Franco)a small time circus magician with poor ethics who eventually gets whisked away to OZ eventually becoming the iconic wizard who sends Dorothy back to Kanas with the aide of the balloon (and tornado) that got him to the mythical land. Now in Oz Diggs takes advantage of the locals who believe he is the king of the Emerald City when all he wants is fame and fortune.
Whilst we loved the teaser trailer we saw away back in July especially the black and white opening which is still in the trailer but what the new trailer does is expands on previous trailer with plenty of new footage along with a clearer understanding of the plot. This new trailer really shows off the brilliant visuals where you can see the Alice In wonderland comparsions, ironically this has been produced by the team behind Tim Burton’s film but this has a more superior and whimsical feel to it.
Also with the trailer we do get to meet more of the cast especially the three witches, but who the wicked witch is, we’ll just need to keep guessing. We also see a little more of the flying monkey (Zach Braff) and if you wondered where the Munchkins where, don’t despair this trailer we meet them in this trailer.Oz:The Great And Powerful looks a fantastic film full of nostalgia which will make fans of the classic film smile.
Oz:The Great And Powerful also stars Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams, Rachel Weisz Zach Braff, Abgail Spencer and Joey King with the film arriving in UK&Ireland, USA 8th March 2013.
When Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot—fame and fortune are his for the taking—that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone’s been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity—and even a bit of wizardry—Oscar transforms himself not only into the great and powerful Wizard of Oz but into a better man as well. When small-time magician Oscar Diggs (James Franco) pulls one flimflam too many, he finds himself hurled into the fantastical Land of Oz where he must somehow transform himself into the great and powerful Wizard—and just maybe into a better man as well.
