Watch The Elegant New UK Trailer For Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby
The notion of Baz Luhrmann‘s The Great Gatsby been converted into 3D has really sunk in yet, though it is regarded as one of America’s greatest ever literature pieces of 20th century, but if you still need time to jump onboard enjoy the elegance of the new UK trailer!
Many films find themselves with new release dates,many cinephiles however the anticipation for Luhrmann’s adaptation, a version of the film tipped to succeed where the Robert Redford/Mia Farrow/Bruce Dern failed topple the box office, it was shock when it was delayed to summer. Here in UK&Ireland the film could have played on it’s original Boxing Day release with only Jack Reacher as its rival but it’s the Stateside Christmas Day which would have saw the film up against Django Unchained, Les Miserables hence the delay.
Once again the hype machine is starting once again , but when you ire the grandeur of the trailer and the overall production of Luhrmann’s film, it would nothing less than a hyperbole. The trailer is lavish, colourful, vibrant it’s nothing more than you expect from a Luhrman film and the use of modern songs as seen in the previous trailer annoyed a lot of people it should be taken with no surprise as he did it with Moulin Rouge as well.The new trailer gives a better look at the cast but also another look at the boisterous relationship between Gatsby and Daisy, overall a menacing but electric feel to the trailer.
Set in The roaring 1920′s The Great Gatsby tells the tale of Nick Caraway (Maguire) a recent graduate, World War One veteran who rents a summer house next door to a mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby(Di Caprio). Over time Nick becomes friends with the reclusive Gatsby becoming part of his inner circle eventually struck by obsession and tragedy.
The Great Gatsby also stars Leonardo Di Caprio, Carey Mulligan , Tobey Maguire,Joel Edgerton, Jason Clarke,Isla Fisher and Elizabeth Debicki. The film is set to arrive in UK&Ireland 18th May 2013, one week earlier if your in USA.
