Watch Hoard UK Trailer
Vertigo Releasing have released the fierce UK Trailer For Luna Carmoon‘s Hoard.

The film marks the directorial feature debut for Carmoon. Since it’s world premiere at last year’s Venice Film Festival gathering great reviews including BFI London and Glasgow Film Festivals.

Hoard is set over two timelines staring Saura Lightfoot Leon, and Lily-Beau Leach as Maria with Hayley Squires as mother. This is a fearlessly strange and intense psychological drama a troubled teenager forms an obsessive bond with a mysterious young man at her foster home.

I’ve chatted to several people who watched it at London, it’s hard to actually describe Hoard. It’s certainly a psychological drama that I was advised to have a strong stomach. A strange film overall that also just happens to have Stranger Things Joseph Quinn in the cast. We’ll assume he’s the ‘mysterious young man’, his relationship with Maria is on show in the promo.

1984, London: 7 year old Maria and her mother live in their own loving world built on sorting through bins and collecting shiny rubbish. One night, their world falls apart, and we Maria a decade later, living with her foster mother. An older stranger, Michael, then enters their home, opening the door to past trauma, magic and madness…

The film also stars Samantha Spiro. Hoard will be released in UK and Irish cinemas from 17th May. We have a review which we’ll share with you closer to release.
