Watch The Trailer For Under My Skin ‘A Non Binary Romantic Drama’

As we speak Over at Raindance Film Festival Under My Skin is making it’s World Premiere, the film described as a non binary romantic drama. Today we get a look at the indie film’s official Trailer as love is tested.
The film marks the feature debut of Australian writer-director David O’Donnell, and an Australian producing team headed by Raynen O’Keefe and Russell. The story following Denny(Liv Hewson), a free spirit and artist who falls for Ryan, a strait-laced lawyer. When Denny questions gender, their love is tested.
The lead character, Denny, is played by four different actors who identify as non-binary, or trans non-binary: Hewson, Bobbi Salvor Menuez (Nocturnal Animals, I Love Dick, Transparent) and newcomers Lex Ryan, Chloe Freeman. Alex Russell (Chronicle, Carrie, SWAT) and Alexis Denisof (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Avengers) also star.
Producer Raynen who also identifies as trans and non-binary commented “At this point in history, the casting of trans, gender-diverse and non-binary characters with people of lived experience, is not only a social responsibility of film-making, but is also a moral imperative in the task of uplifting trans and gender-diverse stories, voices, and representation,”…
Denny (they/them), a free-spirited artist falls for Ryan, a strait-laced lawyer climbing the corporate ladder. Young love ensues, but when Denny begins to explore gender, Ryan’s ingrained values are challenged. As Denny finds they can no longer ignore their true self, pressures and tensions mount with Ryan, and the couple seek to negotiate the shifting sands.
Under My Skin doesn’t have an official release date , the film will also screen at Raindance on Saturday 31st October [more info/book tickets].
