Watch UK Trailer For Chevalier A True Muscial Genius

Chevalier now in UK and Irish cinemas listen to The Chronicle film podcast review

Searchlight Pictures have released the captivating UK Trailer for Chevalier, the historical drama for a true musical genius Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges.

The film has been picking up rave reviews during it’s film festival run which kicked off at Toronto Film Festival last year. Due to scheduling I missed it at Glasgow Film Festival which once again got a positive response, Friday (21st April) the film gets it’s cinematic release in the U.S.

Kelvin Harrison Jr stars as the titular composer  who was the son of an African slave and a French plantation owner.  He rose to astonishing height in French society  which even saw Chevalier have an ill fated romance with none other than Marie Antoinette.

Very few African slaves over time rose to any height during the days of slavery. Even have an affair with the last queen of this makes this film  intriguing. The trailer highlights the great talents he possessed , his upbringing and the troubles he faced during his life…

The film also stars  Samara Weaving, Lucy Boynton, Minnie Driver, Sian Clifford, Alex Fitzalan and Ronkẹ AdékoluẹjoChevalier will be released in UK and Irish cinemas from 9th June.
