Watch Video Production Diary 4 Of Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit

Fantastic way to kick off today’s proceedings (though later than expected) with the long awaited Production Video Diary 4 for Sir (well he should be !) Jackson from the set of The Hobbit.

We have to go back to Mid July when he wrapped up the first few blocks of the filming of The Hobbit:An Unexpected Journey and today via his  Facebook page we have the 4th instalment. The new diary looks into the 3D part of the film and we do get a great insight into how the film is been made and how the technology works and it $10k a camera and 48 of the red epic cameras its a awesome piece of equipment even though i’m not a fan of 3D Film!

When I was living in Salford next to Manchester 10 years ago whilst at university my part time job was working in the then newly opened cinema  in Salford Quays looking across to Manchester United FC. Like any student I was only interested in getting some cash to  spend but it was also the start of my my love for all things film again and the first 2 films that opened in the cinema you wouldn’t believe both of the films would go on to be 2 of the best franchises in cinema history, Harry Potter and Lord Of The Rings. 10 years on my thirst for anything new from Middle Earth is just as strong as it was when I first laid my eyes on the first book and as usual Peter Jackson never dissapoints the fans! With 13 months still to go until the first film arrives these brilliant video diaries are great way to the pain until December 14th 2012 when the film arrives!

THE HOBBIT:AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY will be with us 14th December 2012 with the final part coming 13th December 2013 with THE HOBBIT:THERE AND BACK AGAIN. The cast includes returnees from Lord Of The Rings Sir Ian McKellan, Cate Blanchett, Barry Humphries.
